SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

Nivel académico.
BSc Chemical Engineering degree

Funciones.
Developing and checking process flow diagrams, process equipment data sheets, process philosophies, equipment lists, piping and instrument diagrams, mechanical flow diagrams, utility balances and utility flow diagrams, operating, safety and commissioning manuals and relief valve calculations
Checking the specification of chemicals and catalyst
Computer simulation
Thermal design of heat exchanges
Plant layout
Approving vendor’s drawings

Requerimientos.
At least 7 years experience in a contracting environment conducting process design.
The successful candidate should be capable of producing Process Flow and Instrumentation Diagrams and have experience in Process Simulation Packages (Aspen or PROII), Heat Exchanger Ratings (HTRI) and unit operation sizing.
Experience in distillation processes in the Petrochemical field will be an added advantage.

SENIOR PIPING DESIGN ENGINEER

Nivel académico.
A relevant Technical Diploma (T3 or equivalent) is the minimum requirement together with a sound knowledge of both local and international industry codes, standards and practices, A.N.S.I. B31.3 - DIN - A.P.I. etc

Funciones.
Manage the piping design discipline of any particular project
Supervise and lead a team of designers
Co-ordinate with all other respective disciplines
Ensure all project/company standards are implemented and adhered to.
Manage and ensure the piping discipline adheres to the project schedule and budget.

Requerimientos.
The applicant should have at least 15 years experience in plant layout and piping design in the Petrochemical and Chemical Plant industries.
Computer exposure should be Autocad Version 2000 as a minimum, knowledge of MS Office and preferred hands-on training on one of the current industry 3D piping packages, PDMS or PDS.
As this position may require site work, the applicant should preferably have previous site experience and be familiar with site procedures, codes and safety (Sasol).

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Nivel académico.
Mechanical Engineering BSc Degree or National Higher Diploma. (B Tech optional).

Funciones.
Primary responsible for assuming design engineering responsibility for all phases of engineering activities and work with minimal supervision
Responsible for mechanical design activities and compilation of specification, datasheets and documents in accordance with client / legal requirements.
Selection of Vendor equipment on technical basis.
Design, specifications, selection and construction support of package units for chemical and industrial plants

Requerimientos.
Familiar with:
API, ANSI and ISO standard for Pumps and compressors.
Other international standards for design, selection and manufacturing of rotating equipment and machinery.
Clients Specifications and standards.
Package unit design standards
At least 8 years mechanical engineering experience on rotating equipment.
At least 2 years in the project environment compiling conceptual, basic and detailed engineering packages.
Good understanding of vibration and condition monitoring, balancing and lubrication systems.
In depth understanding of multi stage high speed pumps, high speed gearboxes and variable speed fluid drive couplings will be to the applicants’ advantage.
Ability to integrate overall system requirements and infrastructure requirements for design packages and generating of associated design philosophies.

SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / DESIGNER

Nivel académico.
BSc Electrical Engineering degree. An MSc / M Eng will be an added advantage.

Funciones.
Primary responsible for assuming design engineering responsibility for all phases of engineering activities.
Responsible to lead electrical design team, which includes other engineers and designers, and to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic fast paced environment.

PRINCIPAL CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Nivel académico.
Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering)

Funciones.
Compile the relevant portions of the contract schedule / assist to evaluate the contract schedule with the project plan
Attend and participate in technical and / or contract related meetings
Assist with monitoring the contract schedule and budget and take appropriate action when required
Compile and assist with the technical portions of enquiry documents to tenderers (E.g. Earthworks, piling, concrete and building works, structural steel). This includes liaising with a Quantity Surveyor and the designer to compile the relevant Bills of Quantities as well as Scope of Work document.
Supervise / monitor the Drawing Office doing the construction drawings, in accordance with the contract schedule and the requirements of other disciplines involved. Issue construction drawings as well as the End-of-Job Package to client.
Provide technical assistance to site personnel when required.

Requerimientos.
Minimum of 7 years experience in the industrial engineering environment and petro-chemical plants with emphasis on reinforced concrete and structural steel engineering

INSTRUMENT DESIGNER

Nivel académico.
The ideal candidate must be in possession of a National Technical Diploma for Instrument Technicians, a National Trade Test for Instrument Mechanicians and have at least 5 years experience in an Instrument design environment.

Funciones.
Wiring and design of field Instruments to a control system including design and layout of control panels, marshalling racks, equipment racks, junction boxes, PLC Cabinets, DCS Systems, Instrument Location Drawings, Hookup Drawings, Cable Block Diagrams.
Preparation of intrinsically safe drawing
Preparation of Instrument specification sheets and technical procurement packages and adjudication thereof.

Requerimientos.
Practical experience including handover and commissioning on construction sites. Design experience. Computer packages, ‘InTools’ (Instrument Design Package), AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
