Funciones.
Primary responsible for assuming design engineering responsibility for all phases of engineering activities.
Responsible to lead electrical design team, which includes other engineers and designers, and to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic fast paced environment.
The ability to interpret MFD’s, P&ID’s and systems
Responsible for designs in the following fields:
-Switchgear (up to 33kV)
-System design and studies
- Protection philosophies / studies
- Scada system / Substation Automation
- Transformers
- Variable speed Drives
- Uninterruptible power supplies / Battery Chargers
- Motors
- Substation layout design
- Hazardous Area classifications
- Cable (design / calculations)
- Diesel Generators
- Earthing and Lightning/ Cable routing and Racking / Lighting and small power

Requerimientos.
At least 8 years general electrical design experience
At least 4 years petrochemical or related experience.
At least 4 years in the project environment compiling conceptual, basic and detailed engineering packages
Knowledge of and understanding of SABS / IEC specifications
Network analysis experience
Ability to determine overall electrical system requirements and infrastructure requirements for conceptual design packages and generating of associated design philosophies.
Dominio fluido del idioma inglés
